New account of blogtrip that the Fashion Travel Bloggers we did at Maldives in November 2016. On this occasion we embarked on a sandbar tour from the resort Bayan Tree Vabbinfaru. Go!
As it had rained a lot in the early morning, we decided to forget to do snorkel before breakfast and stay a little longer in the comfortable bed of the Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru. Later, and after a good pair of very rich Benedictine eggs, we prepare for the day's excursion: a sand bank in the middle of the ocean.
The ship left us on a small islet of white sand with a boomerang shape and we noticed that another group had already landed there. The hotel employees who accompanied us mounted a awning while we went around the islet. It takes a few minutes, how often it is. Then we spent a while exploring the coral reef fauna with our team of snorkel. When we got tired, we returned to the awning.
There we expected a snack based on fresh fruit, soft drinks and beers. The turquoise blue surrounded us completely, so we fell under its influence and chatted quietly in the waters near the shore. We had fresh water to the shoulders, not forgetting the hat and sunglasses. We had the feeling of enjoying something truly special and exclusive. A total luxury. And we get tired of taking photos.
In general, this tour includes a barbecue on the island, but we prefer to limit ourselves to a snack to be able to eat quietly in the hotel restaurant. Another possibility is to plan this excursion as romantic dinner On the island of sand. Anyway, this excursion allows you to enjoy a dreamlike landscape.
We get back to Vabbinfaru to eat and then we had the afternoon free until half past six. At that time we returned to the pier and embarked on a new activity offered by the Banyan Tree and other hotels of this type: night fishing. The ship took us to a point in the middle of the ocean. And there, while the sun was melting over the horizon, we learned to fish with hook, line and lead. We lowered the line about twenty-five meters and waited for them to sting. I began to notice jerks, so I quickly picked it up and pulled a latrinid out of the water (in English they call it "emperor") of yellow stripes, but so small it made me very sad. I asked a hotel employee to take the hook from his mouth and we returned it to the sea.
