Today is the last day of 2011 and it is the day in which we dedicate ourselves to take stock (of the good and bad, as Mecano would say) of the year that just ends. This year has been very intense for me in many ways. As for this humble space, I would highlight it as the year of the blogtrips and of a new beginning, but let's go by parts.
As in 2010, in which I traveled to New York, I started 2011 with a great trip. After many months of dreaming, planning, saving and organizing myself at work, I finally got travel to northern india in the company of Sonia and Mireia for 19 days. It was an unforgettable trip in which I had the opportunity to discover a culture different from ours and to know another quite impressive reality and that, in addition, made me rethink the way of traveling and writing in this blog.
Just a few days after returning from India, I received the first invitation to attend a blogtrip, (you flip, right? me too). On that occasion I could not go, but months later I received another invitation from Daniel Gaeta from Málaga Tourism to visit his city during a weekend of May. In Malaga I had the opportunity to share some intense and great days with Roser de Semper Viaggiando, Susana of Direct Flight, Esther of Miss Travel and Victoria of The next trip. That same weekend I finally met two Malaga fans and blogger friends: Fran de Myguiadeviajes, José Carlos DS and Carmen de La next stop.
Although before going to Malaga, we traveled a week to Sicily where we made a route by car on the island. It was our first vacation day of 2011 and, being a planned trip at the last minute, we decided to go on an adventure without having anything booked except the first two nights in Palermo and a rental car. Do that in Sicily at Easter It was a serious mistake since it is a very high season and we had trouble finding accommodation in the center of the island. Even so, we really enjoyed the trip (and especially the gastronomy) and we still had to visit the Aeolian and the interior of Sicily, so we do not rule out returning in the near future.
A week after traveling to Malaga, there was a very special weekend in which we celebrated my 30th birthday of my friend Azuki. A few weeks earlier, Captain Hook kidnapped his gift and gave him clues to rescue him. Having successfully passed all his tests, he finally received his gift, on a Saturday at 7am at El Prat airport: a weekend in the country of Neverland, a weekend in Eurodisney With all of us.
It was two magical days, because we made some of Azuki's great illusions come true and gave free rein to the child we still have inside. From this trip you can read the entry on the preparation of a Weekend low cost in Eurodisney, since we managed to do it quite cheaply (to be Disney Land Paris).
At the beginning of the year, the crisis made an appearance at home. Luckily, we got rid of such an undesirable tenant a few months later, although we lost purchasing power along the way. That made us have to rethink our travel plans, and that is how we renounced the escapes in which, whether you like it or not, you end up leaving a small fortune.
